Something trendy, something classic, something new.
Hi babes, Happy Monday. Nothing new this season I’m just over here lusting over ALL the new fall shoes out there right now. Something about fall shoes just get me. The leather, the buckles, the studs, the FUR. Ugh, not enough money in the bank. Ya feel me?! I am trying to be smart about my shoe investments this fall by not buying too many of the same types of shoes and also by pulling out styles from previous years that are still in style and great condition.

Something Trendy:
There are so many shoe trends happening this fall it’s hard to talk about just one. However, I find myself most drawn to the buckled and studded booties you’re seeing everywhere. The ones in the top left of the photo above are the Humble booties by Steve Madden and they also come in a snake print (another one of this seasons big trends). I went with the black because they’re a little more versatile than the snake print but LOVE both. You can see how I styled them in a recent blog post here and then for a night out here. I am also obsessed with these studded combat boots from Sam Edelman they’re kind of like the flat version of the Steve Madden ones pictured. Something Classic:
One style that has been a staple for me for the past five years is what’s called the Chelsea Bootie – the middle one in the photo above is the Acne Studios version of the Chelsea boot. Here is an almost identical dupe of that one for about half the price. I usually style these booties with distressed black denim, a t-shirt, and either a blazer, cardigan, or long coat. Pile a scarf on top and girl, you’ve got your winter-chic look down. I decided to invest in the Acne Studios pair because they are a shoe I find myself wearing year after year and I never get sick of them. Shop a few of my favorite classic booties this season here:
Something New:
The fur lined mules in the photo above are the new shoes I picked up today at Target. I’ve been wanting the Gucci princetown fur lined mules for so long so when I saw these were only $24.99 I knew I had to grab them. I am wearing them now and I know I will wear these all time this fall and winter since they are easy to slip on and run out the door. I also saw this similar pair online in white and am in love!
