As many of you may have seen on my Instagram, last week we took a road trip from Cleveland down to Cincinnati to watch the Cleveland Indians play against the Cincinnati Reds. The trip was sponsored by Toyota and I cannot even tell you how needed this trip was for us! Ever since moving across the country life has been a little bit of a whirlwind so it was nice to be able to not worry about anything for a couple of days and just hit the road.
A few days prior to leaving for our road trip Toyota dropped off their brand new Camry XSE at my house. I honestly didn’t even think the car was a Camry. It’s like the sportier, sexier version of the Camry most of us know. I was totally blown away by how nice this car was. From the double sun roof, to the WiFi (yes, this car had WiFi!), to the aerial view back up camera – I gotta say I was super impressed.
Our road trip day started off with a quick stop at Starbucks (because ‘but first coffee’ right?!)
And then I let Anthony drive for a bit while I got to pick the tunes and take selfies work on my blog…
When we made it to our hotel (21C Museum Hotel) I was sooo excited to relax for a few! I opened up a can of Chardonnay (yep, you read that right) and checked out some art because our hotel also doubled as an art museum! So cool! You can see some of the art below…
After we ate dinner we walked around to explore Cincinatti before heading to the game…
Such an awesome view from the Red’s stadium!
The next morning was spent sipping on Nespresso and reading about fun things to do in Cincinnati that day!
Overall we had such an amazing experience and writing this post just makes me want to plan another road trip as soon as possible! There is something about just being able to drive somewhere fun that allows you to forget about all the stress of your day to day life. If you haven’t taken a road trip in awhile why not look up places that are a few hours away and plan something! It’s such a fun way to spend the weekend!
PS – check out this little video recapping the trip!
xx
Thank you for Toyota to sponsoring this trip and this blog post. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.
