My skincare favorites are always changing. Based on the season, my skin, and what new products are out I am constantly trying new things to improve my skin. Having a child wreaks havoc on your hormones, and ultimately your skin. For me the biggest change in my skin was with developing melasma or “pregnancy mask” which is basically dark splotches on your face – ugh. Mine occurred under and around the eyes but also over the lip giving me a shadowy mustache, the worst! I have been using Eminence Bright skin Licorice root brightening serum to try to combat this – I’ve seen Lauryn Evarts from The Skinny Confidential raving about this product for this specific reason so I am hoping and praying it does the trick!
I’ve also been mindful of what types of chemicals I am putting on my face since have being pregnant and now that I am nursing. In general I try to keep my products as natural as possible – unless I just REALLY have to combat something and there isn’t a natural alternative!
Amala Purifying Face Polish – I received this product to try this past month and it has honestly made such a difference on my skin already. I’ve always struggled with oil or combination skin and large pores and I am loving that this face wash has finely crushed bamboo that help to gently exfoliate my skin while cleaning it daily. It also has green tea which is a super powerful antioxidant and is beneficial on so many levels including in skin care.
Nuxe Multipurpose Dry Oil – This is a product I have been using since I found out I was pregnant. I love that this oil has SO many different uses. I typically put it on my face after cleansing in the morning and use it as a moisturizer. I also love wearing it under my makeup as it gives me more of a ‘glow’ and works as a primer. The oil is also designed to be used on your body or hair as well so it definitely is worth the buy. I am thinking of trying the Nuxe oil with shimmer for when I want a little more of a glow.
Hanalei Lip Treatment – I received one of these in my Ipsy bag about a month or two back and it honestly couldn’t have come at a better time. My lips had been cracking and just all around super rough. I started using this every night before I went to bed and I am not lying when I say it is the only thing that improved my lips. I was using regular chapstick in the day and it felt like it was almost making my lips worse. When I started using this it was if they were being healed – I was obsessed. And then of course I lost my tube of it – haha! Never fails. I ordered more on amazon the next day and am back to using it every night. When I wake up to feed my little guy a couple hours after going to bed it is still on my lips. Crazy good.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in ‘stoned rose’ – I originally tried this product because I wanted a lipstick that actually was good for my lips while giving me some color. These lipsticks have an antioxidant called ‘lipstick tree’ (not too sure what that is!?) but it is supposed to protect lips from UV damage which I am all for!!

I love the Nuxe body oil with shimmer and it’s amazing for a natural day to day glow! I love using it on my arms and the result is sun-kissed skin even in the middle of winter! Check it out:)

I love the Charlotte Tilbury packaging, it is just so luxe! I have never tried any of these, but have read a bit about Nuxe, if I ever run out of the oils I use I may have to give this a go.
