Fact: I will always love stripes {regardless of how prego I am} and OTK boots are pretty much the best invention ever. I’ve been known to purchase one too many striped items – from turtlenecks and dresses to beanies and socks. I do not discriminate against a good stripe. However, I do tend to gravitate more towards a thin stripe rather than a big chunky stripe – but you get my point. I love ’em! This dress is from a brand I recently came across – LEGOE. An Australian label which is more of a lifestyle brand rather than a maternity brand – their clothes are made to fit pre-baby, post-baby, and all that in between. I love that I will be able to wear this dress after the baby comes!
Classic LBD + Heels
My dress is non-maternity which I love because I know it will be something I can wear after my pregnancy (although I sized 1 size up to account for the bump so we shall see!) and it is under $30 – such a steal! It also comes in a chic blush color that I might get for after the baby 😉 Also, you guys probably saw these shoes in one of my other recent posts – they are $40 and look exactly like the Stuart Weitzman ‘nudist’ heels!
Out with the Old
With each new season I find it necessary to go through my closet and get rid of, or purge rather, many of the older items that I no longer wear and are just taking up space. One great way to still feel good about letting go of some of my old clothes (because, let’s be honest – sometimes I can be a hoarder when it comes to clothes!) is to donate them to a cause I am passionate about. Awhile back someone told me about the American Cancer Society (ACS) Discovery Shop which is a thrift store which supports the cancer society. Having lost people close to me from cancer I felt that this was a great way to rid myself of some of my old clothes and make room for the new stuff!
Pink + Gray Days
It’s hump-day – not sure how it is only Wednesday, feels like it should be Friday already! We have our birthing classes tonight which I actually enjoy going to because we are learning SO much about the birthing process – sometimes a little too much! 😉
This dress I am wearing is from Urban Outfitters and is non-maternity. I sized up to a medium to account for the bump. it is super comfortable and easy to wear. I am tempted to order it in black too – would be so cute with some OTK boots and a leather jacket! I paired mine with my Citizen’s Mark blazer for a more business-chic look. You guys might remember me posting about this blazer earlier this year. It has worked its way into my wardrobe as one of those staples that you can throw on with ripped jeans, dresses, and everything in between! PS – You can get $50 off at CitizensMark.com right now using code ‘BIOB50‘ at checkout!
ToteSavvy Diaper Bag Insert
From the time I found out I was pregnant I knew I didn’t want a traditional diaper bag. I personally couldn’t see myself carrying around a paisley print puffy diaper bag and figured I would have to spend hundreds of dollars to purchase one I really loved. I know what you carry your babies bottles and diapers around in is ultimately not of the utmost of important things when it comes to having a baby, however, if I am going to be carrying a bag around day in and day out I want it blend well with the rest of my wardrobe.
Bell Sleeves
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! This Monday marks the 31st week of my pregnancy! Things are starting to get super real around here 🙂 In all the best ways possible. Can’t lie though – pregnancy can be super rough on your body. I am just starting to really feel the effects a lot more now that I am in my third trimester!
I like to stay comfortable most days but occasionally I will still get dressed up while keeping my heels on the medium to lower side – much easier to walk in! These ones are from Zara and I am loving them lately. Also, this top from Make Me Chic is super fun yet comfortable which I love right now – not to mention it is on sale for $22! Also, you can score an extra 20% off as a first time customer on their site!
