If there is one thing about me and fashion it’s that I don’t really like to follow the ‘fashion rules’ so to speak. I mean, I feel like they were just meant to be broken anyhow. My moto is – wear what FEELS good to you at that time and you can’t go wrong. If you feel good in something and confident about your outfit choice then it really doesn’t matter if it’s ‘on-trend’ or ‘in-season’.
With that being said, one of the things I love doing is wearing floral prints in fall. It lightens the mood a little bit and makes things feel more cheerful and a lot less gray. For this look I wore my floral dress with a leather jacket and studded booties (see how I wore floral with a fuzzy coat a few years ago) to give the look more of a fall vibe. Wearing florals in the fall/winter months is also a great way to make use out of your wardrobe year round as this dress will take you right into spring and summer!
Clearly I don’t follow the ‘fashion rule’ of not wearing white after Labor Day. I mean, I feel like that rule (and all fashion rules, really) are kind of meant to be broken, no? I’ve had this conversation with a friend recently and I feel that if you genuinely like something and feel good in it, then rock it. People may look at me and wonder what the heck I am wearing sometimes but I choose to just ignore those people. As long as I feel comfortable & confident then it doesn’t really matter.
Being someone who is a little on the short side I always thought I couldn’t wear wide leg pants. Don’t get me wrong, I was definitely rocking my flared jeans in high school but I mean those really voluminous, flowy,
