Some people ring in fall with shades of brown, yellow, and green while steadily sippin’ their pumpkin spice lattes. Nothing wrong with that, however I tend to find myself drawn to an all black ensemble and a shot of espresso (unfortunately the espresso part can’t be fulfilled too much ATM due to our little bun in the oven!). Anyone else?! Don’t get me wrong – I love a good mustard colored velvet pleated skirt as much as the next girl but sometimes I just want to wear black head to toe and call it a day. These pointy toe boots by Kendall + Kylie are giving me life right now and I am seriously dying to wear the velvet crop top but somehow I don’t think it really goes well with a baby bump! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite edgy black + white pieces for you to let your inner bad girl show. Shop below!
Pink + Gray Days
It’s hump-day – not sure how it is only Wednesday, feels like it should be Friday already! We have our birthing classes tonight which I actually enjoy going to because we are learning SO much about the birthing process – sometimes a little too much! 😉
This dress I am wearing is from Urban Outfitters and is non-maternity. I sized up to a medium to account for the bump. it is super comfortable and easy to wear. I am tempted to order it in black too – would be so cute with some OTK boots and a leather jacket! I paired mine with my Citizen’s Mark blazer for a more business-chic look. You guys might remember me posting about this blazer earlier this year. It has worked its way into my wardrobe as one of those staples that you can throw on with ripped jeans, dresses, and everything in between! PS – You can get $50 off at CitizensMark.com right now using code ‘BIOB50‘ at checkout!
ToteSavvy Diaper Bag Insert
From the time I found out I was pregnant I knew I didn’t want a traditional diaper bag. I personally couldn’t see myself carrying around a paisley print puffy diaper bag and figured I would have to spend hundreds of dollars to purchase one I really loved. I know what you carry your babies bottles and diapers around in is ultimately not of the utmost of important things when it comes to having a baby, however, if I am going to be carrying a bag around day in and day out I want it blend well with the rest of my wardrobe.
Bell Sleeves
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! This Monday marks the 31st week of my pregnancy! Things are starting to get super real around here 🙂 In all the best ways possible. Can’t lie though – pregnancy can be super rough on your body. I am just starting to really feel the effects a lot more now that I am in my third trimester!
I like to stay comfortable most days but occasionally I will still get dressed up while keeping my heels on the medium to lower side – much easier to walk in! These ones are from Zara and I am loving them lately. Also, this top from Make Me Chic is super fun yet comfortable which I love right now – not to mention it is on sale for $22! Also, you can score an extra 20% off as a first time customer on their site!
The Blues
Sorry for my lack of posts lately! I think this little boy of ours has got me feeling a bit more tired than usually, and not to mention emotional! Yesterday I had a total breakdown because the post office couldn’t ship out a package due to it being in the wrong type of box! ha! I mean, I am typically an emotional person but really!? I felt like a crazy woman but hey, I guess that is what pregnancy does to you. Right? Hope I’m not the only one! 🙂
Anyhow on to the outfit details! I have been living in and loving these AG maternity jeans. You can see they’ve gotten quite a bit of wear but I just love that I can still rock ripped skinnies while being 7 months pregnant! And, they are super comfortable because they have the extra fabric that goes all the way over your growing belly. I’ve linked some other options below because these ones are a bit pricey especially for jeans you won’t be wearing for very long.
Blue Jean Baby
Now that the madness of fashion month has subsided all of the trends that we saw on the runway and the streets are starting to filter themselves into our wardrobes. One of the biggest trends I have been seeing pop up over the past few seasons is that of the embroidered denim jacket. So grunge-chic, don’t ya think? I kinda love it. Not everyone is going to be a fan of this style, because let’s be honest – it’s a little loud. I think in the right setting these jackets are so much fun! I am thinking weekends with my chucks, a pleated midi, and a great bag, yeah? I just ordered one I can’t wait to share with you guys but for now check out some of the ones that are on my list below!
