Since it’s an ACTUAL crisp 13 degrees outside right now I thought I would take it back to warmer days. These photos are from my trip to San Diego last month and being snowed in has me daydreaming about warmer weather. When I look at these photos it seems like SO much time has passed, but its actually only been a month! I guess the holidays will do that to you. I shared this leopard print romper on Instagram during my trip but have been meaning to do a blog post talking about animal print for you guys.
Sale Favorites | Mango
Have you guys ever shopped Mango ?! Truth be told – I really don’t think I have either, until today! It’s always been one of those sites I go to and fill up my cart and then don’t end up buying anything. But today I popped over to their site and realized the sale they had going on right now was INSANE. Plus all of their clothes are SUPER chic, on-trend, and classic but not boring. Make sense? I dunno, but I guess what I’m trying to say is their clothes are GOOD and super affordable. Click on the little plus signs on the photo above to shop the items or click through below to shop my favorites from their sale right now!
Slip Skirt + Chunky Knit
I’m sure a lot of you have seen that slip dresses and slip skirts have been making a major comeback as of recently. I just keep thinking back to my high school days when I had a black paisley print slip skirt from The Limited. Loved that thing. Although I definitely styled it a bit different back then.
My current favorite way to style a slip skirt is with a chunky knit on top, somewhat tucked it (I prefer just a little half tuck), and styled with either booties or sneakers. I think this outfit would be so cute with sneakers and a Moto jacket thrown over for a casual but still stylish weekend look. You could even swap the sweater out for a plain white t-shirt! So many options here.
Winter Style | Metallic Puffer Coat
Happy Monday babes! There is just something about a pom-pom beanie and this metallic puffer coat that make me happy during the winter months. We finally got some real snow here in Cleveland over the weekend – and let me tell you, it was BEAUTIFUL. On Sunday the sun was shining so we took a little trip down to the Brecksville Nature Center to hand-feed the chickadee birds. It’s so cute, they give you bird seed and you just hold out your hand and wait. I had a little bird eat from my hand twice! It’s a fun activity to do with the family as they have kids crafts inside as well.
SoCal Visit With The Toyota Avalon Hybrid 2019
Have you guys ever heard people say that everyone in California drives a hybrid? Well, that’s not necessarily true but a lot of people in California do drive hybrids. At least it seems that way anyhow. I went to San Diego for my bi-annual visit this past December and Toyota was kind enough to lend me their new Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited during my trip. And guess what? I fell in love! The only other hybrid I had driven up until this point was the Toyota Prius which wasn’t my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Prius but it just doesn’t have as much pick-up-and-go as say my BMW. Driving the Avalon Hybrid Limited was such a different experience from the Prius though. I felt that the drive was VERY comparable to that of my BMW or any other high end luxury vehicle. It was able to get up to speed quickly and easily and the drive was extremely smooth. My mom even mentioned how she felt that it drove like a luxury vehicle while she was riding in it.
My Best Hair Yet | Hand-Tied Extensions from Erin Frazee
You guys know I’ve had my fair share of trial and error with extensions. Everything from getting them sewn in at a wig shop in San Diego (definitely don’t recommend), to clip-ins, then tape-ins…sheesh I’m exhausted just naming them all! Well, I think I’ve finally found the method that was MADE for my hair – hand-tied hair extensions also known as NBR or Natural Beaded Rows. From the moment I stepped foot into Ohio City’s Heydey Collective (a boutique-style salon) I knew I was in the right place. Everything from the chic minimalistic decor to the warm personalities of owner Erin Frazee and colorist Courtney Plata, I felt right at home!
