The woman’s ‘power suit’ has had quite the resurgence over the past couple of seasons. In fact – when I went to New York Fashion Week last September I was surprised at how many bold colored suits I saw the girls wearing. Mostly with retro boots and cool band tees. This spring the power suit’s little sister – the ‘short suit’ – is having a moment of its own.
Revive Your Wardrobe Without Spending a Dime
One of the things I wanted to be more mindful of this year was my spending habits. In the past, I’ve done a not-so-good job at saving and tended to use shopping as a sort of therapy. If I had a stressful day I always found it therapeutic to go shopping – that was always something I could count on to make me feel good. Well, for the time being anyhow. Then when reality hits and you realize you spent x amount of dollars at the mall and don’t have a whole lot left in your bank account it really has an adverse effect. Now, I am not saying I am giving up shopping all together – clearly (LOL). I mean I do have a fashion blog so that would be really kind of hard. However, I found this year I have been EXTREMELY mindful in what I am purchasing. I’m not just purchasing something because it would make a good Instagram photo (YES – I have done this in the past) and I am also not purchasing items I am going to wear once or twice and then be done with. I want to focus more on purchasing items I can wear over and over again. Because to be honest, most of the items I wear on a regular basis are items that I’ve had for a long time and can always count on.
My Nighttime Skincare Routine
Hi guys – happy Monday! Today I want to share with you guys what my nighttime skincare routine looks like lately. It is an ever evolving process as I tend to bring in new products that I am trying and phase out old ones that just aren’t doing the trick anymore. I’ve been using the products in this post for at least the last four weeks or more and I am super happy with my results so far so I wanted to be sure to get this post up asap for you guys!
Chunky Knit Sweater & Glam Jewelry
These photos were actually taken a week ago today – on my birthday last week! This top was sent to me by Misha Vaidya and I am LOVING it – she really has such beautiful pieces – you can check it out here. It totally fits my personal style – simple and classic but with a little flare.
Bombers + Berets
Hi, hi babes & happy Monday! I’ve been having fun adding some spring pieces into my wardrobe like these super cute heels and this fun bomber jacket (similar here too)! If you follow me on Insta you’ve probably seen the shoes more than once lol! I’ve been wearing them so much lately.
My Experience With Tape-In Extensions | UPDATED
I am that girl who has always had a super cute bob or a fun asymmetrical short pixie cut. Yes – an actual pixie cut. I was younger and a lot more ballsy during my pixie cut days but I still really love when girls can pull that off. I went from platinum blonde to brunette more than a few times and people always told me I looked so ‘cute’ with short hair. And yes, I loved my short ‘do most of the time but I always wanted to know what it felt like to have long flowing locks. So bad that once I went to this wig place next to Hooters in San Diego and literally had them SEW in a weave onto my head. Worst.Decision.Ever. Guys, I am not even kidding when I say I had them remove it right then and there. First of all – my hair is WAY to fine to have a thick weave sewn in, and second of all they didn’t cut my hair to blend into the weave so it was just all kinds of no.
