Sweater weather is finally upon us. And if you’re in Ohio you know that means today it is but tomorrow you might need to rock a sun dress. I actually shot these photos a few weeks back but totally forgot to put together a blog post. What can I say?! Mom brain to the max these days. It may be getting a little too cool here in Ohio to still wear shorts, although we still have those sporadic hot days here and there. I know my babes in CA and other warm weather climates can still rock this look. In fact, this would be the perfect look for an evening dinner with girlfriends. When the sun goes down and its a little cooler than usual out but still not cold yet. Last year I wore something similar in San Diego towards the end of October but paired it with a leather mini, check out that look here.
Friday Favorites | Fall Edit
Hi babes and Happy Friday! Since everything seems to be all about Fall right now I wanted to do a little roundup of my fall favorites for you guys. All of these items I am eyeing HARD at the moment and can’t wait until my fall orders start coming in. I saw a quote online that said ‘The worst part about online shopping is having to get up to get your credit card.” LOL. Sometimes I honestly feel that way. You’re all comfy and cozy on the sofa and then you go to order and UGH you gotta get up. First world problems, FOR SURE. If you guys ever have any questions on how to style any of the items I include in my round ups like this please do NOT hesitate to ask. I get so much joy from helping you guys!
Oversized Blazer with Jeans and Heels
So I know you guys already saw me style this red blazer (currently 40% off!) earlier this month with a leather skirt and a t-shirt (see that post here) but I just felt called to wear it again. Can you blame me? I just can’t get enough of the oversized blazer trend this fall. This time I paired it with my favorite Levi’s, a chic blouse, and some white heels. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already seen these heels a few times and you know that I am a HUGE fan of white shoes for fall (one of my favorite trends!). Also, the shoes are currently 30% off with code ‘PRIME3018’.
Versatility with Hammitt LA
How in the world are we already in the middle to end of September? Like, HOW?! Gosh, time flies and everyone always said it just goes by quicker as you get older and I can totally see why! Anyhow, I’ve been so excited to share this versatile handbag with you guys ever since I received in the mail. The bag is from Hammitt (hammitt.com) and it can literally be worn at least THREE different ways. Want a backpack? You got it. Want a crossbody? Done. Want a top handle bag? It’s yours. You can see I’m REALLY into the versatility factor here. Speaking of versatility you might notice I also switched up my outfit throughout these photos. I was a little overzealous with the cardigan and had to take it off to keep from completely melting.
How to Style a Boyfriend Blazer
I’ve been a blazer fan for quite some time now and couldn’t be happier that the boyfriend blazer is having a huge moment this fall! I picked this one up in a bold red color which I thought was perfect to add a splash of color to my wardrobe. It comes in 6 different colors which I kind of feel like I need it in the ‘purple moss’ color too! I normally don’t wear a lot of red – last year I think the only red thing I wore was this red jumpsuit. So like I said on Instagram, when I do wear it – I make it count!
Customized Classics from Sumissura
Have you guys heard of Sumissura? I was introduced to them last year (you can see me wearing their clothing here and here) and I gotta say, I’m all about the custom situation they offer – especially since it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Naturally, I wanted to share a couple of new items I’m loving from them at the moment.
First of all let me just say that the way things work with social media these days everyone seems to buy and wear the same items. That can get a little…boring. No? Anyhow, that’s why it’s so refreshing to me to be able to add some customization to my clothing. Not only in size, but maybe I’ll switch up the lining or add different colored buttons or thread. The opportunity to make something unique allows your personal style to come out.
