I’ve been back from New York Fashion Week for a full week now and still sorting through all my photos! I wore this outfit my first day in New York, this top is actually a dress but I paired it with some distressed jeans to help me stay warm once the sun set. I am excited to wear it as an actual dress next spring/summer – it will be the perfect vacation or weekend dress I am sure and is on sale now if you want to check it out here!
NYFW SS18 Street Style Trends
One of my favorite part about Fashion Week is the street style. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely ADORE fawning over all the new designs that come down the runway each season but I would say I equally love seeing all the great outfits that make their way onto the streets during this time. Since I was able to attend Fashion Week this year and got a front row view of what people are wearing I wanted to give you guys the inside scoop on the top 5 trends I am noticing for Fall ’17 based on what people were wearing to the shows this season.

How to Style a Simple T-Shirt
Investing in Versatile Fall Pieces
Being someone who is a little on the short side I always thought I couldn’t wear wide leg pants. Don’t get me wrong, I was definitely rocking my flared jeans in high school but I mean those really voluminous, flowy, wide legged pants. After playing with a few different pairs I started to realize it really comes down to how you style them. You can to do what works for your body and above all, what feels most comfortable. So while some taller women may be able to put these on with some cute little slides I feel they work best with my frame with a little bit of a heel. Doesn’t mean you won’t catch me running around in these, a comfy t-shirt and sneakers, but I also think they will pair really well with scrappy heels and an off the shoulder top.
Namaste | My Travel Tips
Over the past year or so I have been lucky enough to travel more than I ever thought possible – especially with having been pregnant and then having had a new baby at home! When we went to London last summer while I was pregnant I remember thinking I probably wouldn’t make it back to Europe until he was a few years old – and then I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Germany just this summer! That just goes to show you that the power of positive thinking, hard work, and saying ‘yes’ to new opportunities that come your way can open up so many doors.
