Every year we hustle and bustle to find the PERFECT gift for the people in our lives. Let me tell you – it doesn’t have to be that hard. I have come up with a few of the best gift ideas to make that special lady in your life smile. Whether it is your Mom, Sister, significant other, or friend I think the gifts below will do the trick. I mean – those UGG Slippers are THE most comfortable things ever. I don’t actually have a pair but my husband does and I am CONSTANTLY stealing his. Winter Layers
Brrr. It’s been getting cold guys. I love that even in Southern California we have enough of a shift in the weather to make it actually feel like winter. Although we don’t have snow where I live sometimes it feels like we could – haha! I mean okay maybe not, but it does get quite bit chilly especially when you are used to 70 degrees and sunny.
I like the cooler months because it gives me a fun opportunity to bundle up in all of my OTK boots, comfy leggings, and chunky knits like this oversized wrap shawl.
I’ve been in need of a new everyday bag for so long and when I found this one on Black Friday it was too hard to resist. My wallet is definitely in tears over it but I thought, well…when it comes if I don’t LOVE it I can always return it. Guess what? Of course I LOVED it. It almost felt too nice to wear everyday but I am slowly breaking it in! Here is the ‘small’ version and I am also obsessed with the ‘mini’ suede one here. My sweater is from Seraphine – they carry the best maternity, nursing, and baby clothes for all of you mama’s out there. Definitely helps to wear something that doesn’t scream “maternity” and allows you to still feel stylish. They have a bunch of other cozy sweaters here.
These boots have been a lifesaver so far this winter! The heels is not too high so you can still walk in them and the suede looks super expensive!

Thanksgiving Day
One of my favorite things to wear this time of year is a long sleeve shirt and jeans. Throw on some heels and a cute bag and you are good to go. This shirt is one of my favorites right now – it has a little bit of stretch to make you feel comfortable (no matter how much turkey or pie you consume!) but still looks super cute! Also, check out the buttons up the side – yep, those make breastfeeding little bub a breeze when he comes 😉 And they are gold so they go with pretty much everything.
Stripe Love
Fact: I will always love stripes {regardless of how prego I am} and OTK boots are pretty much the best invention ever. I’ve been known to purchase one too many striped items – from turtlenecks and dresses to beanies and socks. I do not discriminate against a good stripe. However, I do tend to gravitate more towards a thin stripe rather than a big chunky stripe – but you get my point. I love ’em! This dress is from a brand I recently came across – LEGOE. An Australian label which is more of a lifestyle brand rather than a maternity brand – their clothes are made to fit pre-baby, post-baby, and all that in between. I love that I will be able to wear this dress after the baby comes!
Baby Shower Brunch at Herringbone La Jolla
I wanted to pop in and share some photos from my baby shower brunch last weekend since the set up was too cute to not share! My good friend Tatum (yes, of Love Tatum Jewelry) was responsible for the beautiful table set-up, hence the beautiful crystals, foraged greens, and white flowers everywhere! 😉
The shower was at Herringbone in La Jolla, CA – the perfect place for a girl’s brunch and even better for an intimate baby shower gathering. Especially if you love french toast with maple butter, sticky buns, and breakfast pizza – no diet here (at least not until after baby)! I’ve been to Herringbone for dinner before but their brunch far surpassed my expectations. To drink, I had the blackberry smash mocktail which was delicious sans alcohol. My sister had the real version and assured me it was just as good! They also have locations in Santa Monica CA, Las Vegas NV, Waikiki HI, and Los Cabos MX. Based on the ambiance of the La Jolla location I am dying to see the Hawaii and Mexico locations – anyone ever been?
Prints for Fall
Happy Monday loves! Sorry for my absence on the blog last week, I have been super busy getting ready for baby 😉 I am 35 weeks today and the app I have says he is the size of a canary melon (whatever that is?!). I had my baby shower yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful and perfect. We did a small brunch with some of my girlfriends in La Jolla – pics to come later this week!
Meanwhile, I have been living in this printed hoodie by Pink Blush Maternity. It goes perfect with leggings or skinny jeans and comes in grey or darker brown (this color is called Mocha). I paired mine with these leggings from Asos – they have room for your belly but totally look like something I would wear pre-bump. I’ve heard great things about these ones too!
