I wanted to share this with you as a Holiday outfit idea. I know it’s probably not what you are used to seeing for ‘holiday style’ as most people are sharing cute holiday dresses or jumpsuits. However, when I think about what I’m wearing to holiday dinners or holiday related meet ups with my girlfriends – it’s usually something a little more like this. I love pairing luxe fabrics like this velvet shirt with thick vintage looking denim (these are the levi’s 501 skinny and I’m also wearing them here). Even a silk cami and fuzzy bomber jacket would give the same effect.
Sweaters + Leather
Hey, hey! Can you guys believe it’s already December 3rd today? Where did the year run off to? I’m keeping things warm and cozy in this bell sleeve sweater lately.
Being that it’s December I’m reflecting back on the year a little bit. Not only on life in general and all the changes that have happened (hello moving across the country) but also on my personal style…. click ‘Continue Reading’ to read the post.
Keepin’ it Cozy
Happy Monday – or in other words, happy week of Thanksgiving! For all of you who work in the corporate world this usually means a short week for you! Woop woop! That was me not too long ago but my weeks look a little different now and I’m learning to ‘go with the flow’. Trying to anyhow 😉

How to Style a Neutral Outfit for Fall
I’m a big fan of a neutral outfit, no matter the season. Paired with the right accessories I think white or any other neutral can be worn year round. The key to styling a neutral fall outfit is to mix textures and prints into the outfit while keeping them all the same tone. For instance, the outfit I am wearing here the items are all either white, cream, tan, or slightly darker tan/brown. A short range of colors keeps it simple. Then, by pairing different textures & prints like the chunky knit cardigan (use code lauren04 for 20% off), felt hat, and snake slides it adds some dimension to the outfit. And of course I always like to top off any outfit with some gold jewelry and sunglasses.
Holiday Party Outfit Tips
If you’re like me, finding the perfect holiday party outfit can go one of two ways. You either walk out the door feeling cool, calm, and collected – or you are running out the door while still putting in your sparkly earrings and slipping on your strappy pearl heels. Can you guess which category I usually fall into? Ha! I am not the most organized person but I have found that when I actually take time to plan what I am going to wear getting ready for the evening it is a much smoother process. And take it from me, it’s much for fun to get ready when you have a few of the details planned out. That way you can take your time, sip some rosé, and get into party mode.
