1. Over skinny jeans with booties – This look is similar to what
I am wearing in the photos below. I have pretty much draped the poncho over my base
outfit for an added oomph & warmth. Depending on your height it might be
important to wear booties with somewhat of a heel so the poncho doesn’t swallow
you whole. I am on the short side so that is definitely of utmost importance!

2. Belt it – One of my favorite ways to wear a
poncho is to belt it. I originally had this poncho belted with this outfit but
ended up taking off the belt because I was enjoying the way it was flowing
without it. However, for a more structured look cinch a belt right at your
waist. You want to choose a belt that is in between a skinny belt and a wide belt. If it is too skinny it will get lost in the fabric of the poncho and if it is too thick it will flatten too much of the poncho and not allow for as much draping of the fabric. Try to find one that is about 1”-2” inches wide.

3. With flare jeans/pants- You could belt it or
wear it loose when wearing it with flares but I personally like the look of
wearing it loose with flare jeans. It allows for a more voluminous silhouette and a
boho chic vibe.

4. With over the knee boots- This is another one of
my favorite ways to wear a poncho! Think Blake Lively… OTK suede boots with a heel
paired with a mini skirt or dress (not
too short & tight though!) with a poncho draped over top. This is a more dressed up version of the poncho.

5. With Leather Pants- This is the rocker girl’s
edgy way to wear a poncho and not feel boho overload. Pair a black poncho (doesn’t have to be black, just the image I
am conjuring up!) with skinny leather pants, black pointy booties, add a
white top and you are ready for a lunch date or even a date night out with your boo.
